Kura

Kura, a famouse japanese food in PJ. Kura is located in One World hotel next to One Utama shopping centre.

The ambience here is perfect as well as the food. You may walk in to the restaurant during your lunch but you are encouraged to book for dinner. This place is usually crowded during dinner time.

We have been there twice, and orered variety of japanese food. The handroll, shashimi, noodle, sushi and etc are all freshly made. The portion per serving is big compared to typical japanese restaurant. You might need to pay slightly higher price but the food is very much value for the money you pay... Check it out!!

There serve set meal for lunch and dinner as well as other ala carte.

tempura

sashimi set meal (soup, rice, sashimi, fruits)

I would think this is the best japanese food in PJ

Pork Knuckle

If you like pork knuckle, u shouldn't miss this special pork.

The shop is open, without air-con and an old shade only. Where is the exact location? You can't really see the shop if you are not familiar with the place. The most easy way to find this place is, you need to look for kepong market near to wai sek kai, and ask for famous pork knuckle shop, everybody will show you the way there. The shop is no name and managed by 4 chinese.

Overall view of the food

The food here is very tasty and you will find original chinese dish. Should go for a try... This is my frequent lunch place. 4 of us only pay a total of RM70 for all the food.

Tasty Pork Knuckle!

Japanese Dessert - MOF

MOF, a very impressive name... Ministry of Food...

Do you like dessert? I would say MOF serves good japanese dessert and it worth a try...

Where can you find MOF? Actually it is in the Pavillion shopping mall KL, at the LG floor.

The owner is from Singapore. They serve quite a variety of dessert.

We have ordered abekawa and rice ball with green tea ice-cream. Abekawa is ovenly-baked Japanese mochi with japanese soya bean powder and Hokaiddo red bean pasta.

Besides of the above, they are actually selling quite a lot of variety with dessert with sweet potato, rice ball, ice-blended and coffee. We have also tried the Macha Mixed Imo (green tea sauce, red bean paste, yam and sweet potato during my 1st visit, it was tasty.

I have visited this cafe twice. Overall, the food are very tasty. However, compared to the 1st time, the service is poorer. I would think that if they provide good service, the business shall be better.

Sweet things are always served with mineral water, in this cafe, you need to buy if you want mineral water or even sky juice.
